HOW TO APPLY FOR NIGERIAN VISA ONLINE
PAYMENT FOR THE ISSUANCE OF NIGERIAN ENTRY VISAS MUST BE MADE ON-LINE, WITH EFFECT FROM 1ST MAY, 2007. THE MISSION WILL WISH TO ADVISE APPLICANTS TO USE THE E-IMMIGRATION PLATFORMS at www.immigration.gov.ng
CONSEQUENTLY, APLICATION FORMS SUBMITTED TO THE CONSuATE GENERAL FOR FOLLOW-UP PROCESSING MUST BE ACCOMPANIED BY EVIDENCE OF PAYMENT COMPLETED ON-LINE. ALL OTHER REQUIREMENTS, SUCH AS THE AVAILABILITY OF PASSPORT PHOTOGRAPHS, ETC REMAIN IN PLACE.
NOTE:
PLEASE APPLY ON-LINE AND PAY ON-LINE AS A MANDATORY REQUIREMENT. PRINT ALL DOCUMENTS AS YOU GO. THEREAFTER SUBMIT TO THE MISSION ALONG WITH THE REQUIREMENTS.
STEPS TO APPLY FOR VISA ONLINE
Step 1
Visit http://www.immigration.gov.ng
Click on Entry Visa Form
Fill out the form online (FORM NO IMM.22)
Print out the form
Step 2
Click on 'Submit Application'. Followed by Payment option
Step 3
Click on 'Foreign Currency'. This will enable you to open a Google Temporary Account.
Step 4
Pay with Visa/Master/Credit Card, etc
Step 5
Print out 'Application Acknowledgement Slip'. It contains teh information listed below.
- Application ID
- Reference ID
Please note that without this, mission will not process application.
Step 6
Update your payment,
Click on visa application status;
Follow the prompt on line;
Step 7
Send all printed documents with your travelling document (i.e passport) to mission for processing, with:
- One Passport photograph
- Flight Details
- Letter of Invitation and a copy of the relevant pages of the travelling document of your host and his or her passport photograph
- Self stamped, returned addressed envelope by either USPS, DHL, UPS
